Theodore Vidal

Theodore Vidal (b. 2001) was born in Bulgaria and adopted into the United States at age two. Vidal is a passionate composer and professional musician whose global journey is shaped by a lifelong love of exploration and creativity. Vidal is a clarinetist as his primary instrument and also known as a woodwind doubler. Dedicated to sharing life’s richness and inspired by worldly cultures, Vidal made his compositional debut at the age of fifteen.

His musical works have been performed by global ensembles and orchestral groups. Vidal had his first Solo Horn & Piano Composition premiered April 5th 2025 by James Gibson at PLU. Vidal also had the US Army wood wind quintet in Illinois perform his composition, “The Whimsical Penguin”, and made his first conducting debut at the age of 24 conducting The Princeton University Wind Ensemble “Spirit of the Woods” in April 2025.

Vidal entered the Young Talent Awards (YTA) 2025 for the International Film Music Festival in Krakow, Poland, and placed 8th out of over 700 composers. Vidal’s composition ODDECHY, for short film, was performed and recorded by the Stoklosa Collective Orchestra at Europejskie Centrum Muzyki Krzysztofora Pendereckiego.

John Vovak

John Vovak (b. 1986), founder of Stories We Sing Publications, has served as a church music director for over 20 years. He spent much of his career in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia, where he cultivated a deep commitment to pastoral music and choral leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Michigan.

In addition to his work as a pastoral musician, John served for six years as President of the Board of Trustees of the Greater South Jersey Chorus, helping to guide the organization’s artistic and organizational growth.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, John recently returned home after 15 years on the East Coast, bringing with him a wealth of experience in liturgical music, choral leadership, and arts administration.
